Ook in India is Kids XL geïntroduceerd en hartelijk ontvangen door de Primary School Bhamod en Navrangpura in Jaipur. De kinderen vinden het geweldig om in contact te komen met hun leeftijdsgenootjes in Nederland. We hebben prachtige opnames gemaakt waarin Indiase kinderen zelf hun school laten zien en ons meenemen naar hun huis om te te laten zien hoe ze leven. En natuurlijk begint een KidsXL school altijd met een hello letter voor de partnerschool:

We are your new friends from Navrangpura Upper Primary Girls School in Navrangpura village in Rajasthan, India. Rajasthan is also known as the desert state situated in western India. It is a state with very rich and traditional culture famous for its forts, palaces, color full and friendly people. It is the most popular tourist destination of India. The dresses, the music the dance and bravery of the Rajasthan warriors is legendry. On one hand you see the rich traditions, folk culture and on the other hand you also see the outdated practices of child marriage, female feticide, purdah. Thus because of the general backwardness girls are neither educated nor welcomed in the family.
The children from our school are part of children's parliament to fight against these evil practices. We all study in Upper primay government school in Navrangpura village which is till grade 8. We believe that education food and time to play should be ensured to all children so that all children can go to school. Thus every child should have access to free, compulsory, quality and meaningful education. We are taught subjects like Hindi, English, Sanskrit (like Latin is an ancient language), Social science, Science, Maths, health education. In our school, we have children belonging to different religions which represent the secular character of our country. We are all very proud of it. We would like to know about you your country and your customs. We really hope that you would write to us and we can all become friends. We are waiting eagerly for your reply.
